Description
Do both batteries need to be replaced?
Yes, when replacing mobility scooter batteries, both batteries need to be replaced at the same time. It's also important that the same type and size of batteries are used.
My mobility scooter hasn't been used recently and now won't turn on, is it the batteries?
Quite possibly. If a mobility scooter has not been used or charged for a long period of time this can and will damage the batteries. It should also be pointed out that other issues could result in a mobility scooter not turning on.
How often should I charge my mobility scooter batteries?
If the scooter is being driven every day or most days then I at the very least I would recommend charging the batteries for at least 8 hours every 2-3 days but the best thing to do would be to charge it fully everyday. Sometimes if can be difficult to remember when it was charged or to remind yourself to charge it so just make a habit of plugging it in to charge every time you come home and you are finished with it for the day.
Can these batteries be collected from your office?
Yes, the can be collected from our office in Dublin 12. Please contact us or mention when ordering you wish to collect them. Please note, lead time is 1-2 working days.
How long should mobility scooter batteries last?
Typically these batteries last around 2 years but this will depend on a number of factors such as how often the scooter is being used, weight of the person using the scooter, how often and well the batteries are being charged and the type of terrain the scooter is being driven on. For example, if the scooter if often used on hills or rough ground then they will cause the batteries to deteriorate quicker than driving it on flat smooth surfaces such as concrete or tarmac.
Can these batteries be fitted at your office?
Yes, they can, please select that option when ordering. You will need to bring the mobility scooter or battery pack if it's a small scooter.
